Every bespoke wedding stationery project begins with inspiration, and for this couple, their Pinterest board was a treasure trove of ideas that perfectly reflected their style. From grand chandeliers and fine china to lush floral arrangements and muted dusty blue accents, their vision was crystal clear: timeless elegance with a modern twist.

The foundation of this suite was their colour palette—soft whites, champagne gold, and dusty blue. This combination screams luxury and refinement while remaining understated and sophisticated. The bride envisioned lush floral arrangements of cream roses and blue hydrangeas, elegant table settings with gold-rimmed crystal glassware, and a romantic ambience lit by candles in golden holders. It was the perfect canvas to design a wedding stationery suite that would leave a lasting impression.

Bringing The Vision To Life

When I say bespoke, every detail is carefully considered to reflect the couple’s vision and values. For this suite, we focused on:

1. A Custom Monogram

The heart of the stationery suite was a custom-designed monogram featuring the couple’s initials, C & W. Monograms are the epitome of timeless wedding stationery, and they instantly elevate the design. 

3. Elegant Typography and Gold Foiling

Dusty blue was a key part of their colour palette, so I incorporated it in refined ways throughout the suite. The envelope liners featured a subtle dusty blue wash of hydrangeas, adding a pop of colour as guests opened their invitations. Satin ribbons in the same hue wrapped around the invitation bundles, perfectly complementing the suite’s champagne gold and ivory tones.

2. Subtle Dusty Blue Accents

Typography is everything when it comes to luxury wedding invitations. For this suite, I selected classic serif fonts to achieve that timeless feel, with names and headers in an elegant script for added sophistication. To elevate the design even further, we used gold foiling for the monogram and key details on the main invitation. It created a beautiful shimmer that caught the light and added a touch of opulence.

4. Wax Seals

Each bundle was sealed with an antique gold wax seal. It was a tactile and visually stunning detail that added to the overall sense of the occasion and tied in with their overall wedding aesthetic.

We decided to focus on hand-drawn floral motifs inspired by the blue hydrangeas in their wedding décor. These delicate line drawings were featured throughout the suite, from the save the dates to the details cards, tying everything together cohesively and elegantly.

The final stationery suite was a perfect reflection of the couple’s timeless and elegant style. Here’s what it included:

Main Invitation Card: Printed on thick, ivory cardstock with gold foil accents. The couple’s names were in an elegant script font, framed by their custom monogram at the top.

RSVP Card: A simple and refined design featuring soft touches of dusty blue typography.

Details Card: This card provided information about the accommodation options, arrival and dress code. It featured a clean layout with a subtle floral motif.

Envelope Liners: A wash of dusty blue with a delicate floral pattern added an unexpected pop of colour inside the ivory envelopes.

Wax Seals & Silk Ribbon: Gold wax seals and dusty blue silk ribbon tied everything together, giving guests a sense of luxury the moment they opened the invitation suite.
